"Saw 3" Movie Poster
Saw 3
Description:
Jigsaw has vanished. Now aided by his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Dr. Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) is unaware that she is about to become the latest pawn on his vicious chessboard. One night, after finishing a shift at her hospital, Lynn is kidnapped by the deranged Amanda and taken to an abandoned warehouse where she meets Jigsaw, (a.k.a John Kramer) (Tobin Bell), who's now bedridden and on the verge of death. Lynn is told that she must keep the madman alive for as long as it takes Jeff (Angus Macfayden), another of his victims, to complete a game of his own. Racing against the ticking clock of Jigsaw's own heartbeat, Lynn and Jeff struggle to make it through each of their vicious tests, unaware that Jigsaw and Amanda have a much bigger plan for both of them.

Jigsaw is at it again. In the third installment of the Saw franchise, Jigsaw finds himself on his death bed, with his apprentice Amanda at his side caring for him. Although close to death, Jigsaw decides it’s time to play one more game before his death, as he and Amanda try to teach their subjects to appreciate life.
Dr. Lynn Denlon, who had once cared and diagnosed Jigsaw is kidnapped and brought in to care for him and keep him alive while Amanda watches on the monitors, Jeff Reinhart, the subject of the game. Jeff has 2 hours to make it through the game, while not only his, but many lives depend on it. Dr. Denlon has a makeshift collar placed around her neck. It is a metal contraption surrounded by shotgun shells. It is explained that the collar is linked with Jigsaw’s heart monitor. If he dies, then she dies.
Saw 3 is by far the goriest and most twisted of the Saw films. While following the same themes of the first two, it dives much deeper into the background of Jigsaw and Amanda. The story is so much more complete and complex than the originals, and we find that so much more is a game than meets the eye. For the first time in a Saw film, the acting is not only bearable but it’s actually good. Not so much a scary movie, as it is disturbing, Saw 3 is everything that I hoped it would be. If you’re a fan of the horror genre, then do yourself a favor and see this film. You won’t be disappointed.
